Rossini estates

A family and excellent wine, a typical example of Sardinian emotion

The history of the Rossini farm began in 2004 when its founder Luigi planted a small piece of land and began to cultivate a vineyard following his motto "keret fattu cun amore", "even the hardest work must be done with love" . In 2012 Luigi realized his dream with the opening of the winery, which is still family-run today. "Keret fattu cun amore" is the imperative that his son Massimo, together with his brother Fausto, his sister Rossella, his mother Teodora, have decided to transform into a reason for living, in favor of the environmental sustainability project with which the Company intends to propose. Design, research, natural care for the environment, the expression of manual skill in production represent the ways through which the Anglona territory becomes the protagonist of Tenute Rossini.

The philosophy

The Rossini family has always directly managed this business with innovative and courageous choices, while maintaining unaltered respect for traditions and the territory. Each vine tells a story, each wine speaks of effort and energy, of the sun and nourishment of the soil according to the logic of environmental sustainability pursued with dedication and commitment.

the Vineyard

In the vineyard, replanted in 2006, the rotation technique (sowing of field beans and other legumes in alternating rows) makes it possible to bring nitrogen to the soil, and during the rest period of the vine through pruning the quantitative potential of the new production is chosen in favor of the highest quality. Part of the vine shoots, where the parasites nest for the winter, will be burned. The rest, together with the field beans, is shredded and buried to favor the introduction of organic substances into the soil, the only fertilization allowed in addition to the macerated nettles. In spring, traps (white buckets of water and vinegar) are set manually for pests that could damage and destroy the young shoots, an artisanal method used to preserve the health of the plant by avoiding the use of chemical products. The harvest time of the grapes is determined by the balance given by the correct phenolic ripening of the berries, by the sugar evolution and by the degree of acidity. This care allows you to avoid subsequent corrections in the cellar. Each wine tells its vintage.
