The farm is located a few steps from the beach of Bèrchida, a jewel of the north-eastern coast of Sardinia: a five kilometer long half-moon of soft white sand dunes, bathed by a crystalline sea and covered with centuries-old junipers, which form curious natural huts .

The pompia, from which the liqueur is obtained, is a variety of lemon endemic to Sardinia, widespread in particular in the municipality of Siniscola and in some areas of the Baronia.
This particular citrus fruit is a real rarity and, until 2015, it was not yet recognized even by the scientific community, being called with the denomination "Citrus Monstruosa".
What is certain is that the pompia is among the rarest citrus fruits in the whole world: until twenty years ago there were only a few hundred trees in the municipality of Siniscola.
